Presently the Conway Chapel features a 250 seat chapel, a complete music system with a wide selection of digital music for services, an organ, four large and recently remodeled reposing rooms, spacious lobby, offices, public lounge, ample parking, and casket and vault display rooms. It is one of the largest and most complete facilities in the state. Our caring and compassionate staff is professional and knowledgeable. We have on-premise 24 hour coverage. This facility is conveniently located near down-town Conway in the Historical District.

1974 graduate of the University of South Carolina and 1975 graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science. Member of the Board of Directors of United Way, Member of the Conway Medical Center Board of Trustees, Member of Conway Chamber of Commerce and the Kiwanis Club of Conway. Married to Susie N. Goldfinch and father to Meghan & Heyes.

Dan E. Buchanan
Chief Operating Officer
1970 graduate of King College, Bristol, TN; 1974 graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science, Atlanta, GA; 1984, M.A. Degree, Central Michigan University. He is a licensed Embalmer and Funeral Director. Attends Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church, North Myrtle Beach. Has two children and two grandchildren.

Vice President
Native of Horry County, employed with Goldfinch Funeral Home since Jan. 1954. Has worked as a Secretary, Bookkeeper, Office Manager, Administrative Assistant to the President, currently assists in all office functions part-time. Active member of Brown Swamp United Methodist Church. Married to Jimmy L. Jones, mother to Jennifer Parker and Jim Jones, Jr., grandmother to Duncan Parker, Chloe' and Zachary Jones.

1982 graduate of Lancaster High School, 1987 graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science. Member of the First Baptist Church of Conway, active working with the youth group. Married to Edwinna and has two children, Michael and Anna.

1974 graduate of the John Tyler Comminuty College in Richmond, VA where he received his Associates's Degree in Mortuary Science, He has been a licensed funeral director since 1975, in the state of Virginia, Ohio and now South Carolina. Employed by Goldfinch Funeral Home since 1998. He is married to Frances and father to a son, Major Tracy Gray, Pilot, USMC.

1968 Graduate of The Kentucky School of Mortuary Science. Has been employed with Goldfinch Funeral Home since August, 2003. Resides in Surfside Beach, SC, with wife Lois. One daughter Michelle of Atlanta, GA; one son David, and one grandson Kyle of Myrtle Beach, SC. Member of Myrtle Beach Elks Lodge and Surfside Beach Moose.

Resides in the Bayboro Community of Horry County with his wife Heather and son Cody and Owen Luke. Member of the Tennessee Walking Horse and Commissioner for United Racking Horse Breeders Association.

Joe Miley

A graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary and Edgecliff College of Xavier University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mortuary Service. He was a professor in the science department at the Cincinnati College. He has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer for 37 years, and holds an active license in both the states of Ohio and South Carolina. He and his wife Jane live in Murrells Inlet, and is the father of Chuck Miley and Katie Ramsdell.

Chuck Thomas

A North Carolina Native, a graduate of Dunn High School, Dunn, NC, and Appalachian State University, Boone, NC with a major in music and physical education, and a 1972 Graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science. He is a funeral service licensee in North Carolina, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and South Carolina, and has been in funeral service since 1964. He is the father of two children, Rebecca and son-in-law Lynnie, a NC Funeral Director, of Clinton, NC, and a son, David, a third generation funeral director and partner in Fletcher Funeral Home in Fountain Inn. He has four granddaughters. He is a member of the Hiram Lodge #98 A. F. & A. M., the Scottish Rite Bodies, and Sudan and Oasis Temples.

Graduate of Sumter High School Class of '74, attended USC of Sumter, graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science Class of '94. Licensed funeral director, embalmer and Advanced Planning Funeral Director with 28 years experience in the insurance industry and 19 years experience in the funeral service. Don specializes in Advanced Planning Public Speaking for churches, civic clubs or organizations, retirement communities, youth or adults meetings, etc. Don was 2007 Advanced Planning Funeral Professional of the Year for Homesteaders Life Co. He and his wife Sharon are Gospel singers and attend Conway Church of God. Former Single's Minister, Youth Ministers, Officer of Men's Ministry, producer / director of Christian television program and have written and directed several drama presentations. Don and Sharon have one daughter, Bethany Donese Odom.

Employed with Goldfinch since 2006. A 1992 USC-Coastal graduate with a BS in Accounting and a 1993 graduate from Winthrop University where she earned a MBA with an accounting emphasis. Attends Juniper Bay Baptist Church. Currently resides in Galivants Ferry with her husband Jeffrey and two children, Alex and Brooke.

Patty was first employed with Goldfinch Funeral Home from 2001 to 2004, then returned in 2005 until present. She is an active member of Horry Baptist Church where she is Music Director. Married to Chris Martin and has two daughters, Krista and Amber Martin.

Receptionist
Born and raised in the Adirondack Mountains of NY. 1971 Honor graduate of Gloversville High School and attended FMCC College. She resides in Loris, is married to Tom Ambridge, and has a daughter Melissa Goodwin. A member of Brown Swamp United Methodist Church, the choir and UMW. Employed with Goldfinch Funeral Home since 2006.
