Clarence Junior Matthews

Clarence "Matt" Matthews, age 73, died Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.

Born April 12, 1936, Mr. Matthews was the son of the late James Cleveland and Mary Elizabeth Howard Matthews. He retired from Keebler Company and attended First Baptist Church of Myrtle Beach.

Mr. Matthews is survived by his wife, Carol, of the home; his son, Timothy Matthews of Laguna Beach, CA; his brothers, James Matthews and Charles Matthews of Florence, SC; and his sister, Shirley Powers of Florence.

Funeral services for Matt will be held Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel, with Rev. Bruce Crawford and Rev. Larry Cashatt officiating. Interment will follow at Southeastern Memorial Gardens in North Myrtle Beach, SC.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 9, 2010, one hour prior to the service.
